These included the introduction of new technologies in the country, training local employees in advanced accounting practices, business process automation, economic calculations, and conducting mergers and acquisitions transactions. A significant portion of this investment was also used for hiring, compensating, and providing rewards to Kazakhstani employees who were involved in implementing diverse projects. These projects ranged from the IPOs of large Kazakhstani companies to setting up accounting systems for local businesses and collaborating on various reforms with Development Banks, all contributing to the multiplier effect on Kazakhstan's economy.

The social projects we have been involved in include a joint project with Dara Foundation for visually disabled children. KPMG sponsored several training sessions for 70 teachers from across Kazakhstan and purchased special equipment for inclusive classes in schools in Nur-Sultan, Aktau, and Aktobe, including equipment that facilitates the social and domestic adaption of visually impaired children.

 

In addition to that, three times a year, KPMG employees take active participation in charity marathons in Astana and Almaty aimed at developing popular sports, promoting healthy lifestyles, and contributing to charity projects.
